HOW TO VOTE

Hello lovely people! My name is Morgan, and my pronouns are they/them. I’m currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Nutrition and Food Science, majoring in the food science stream. I’m running to be your vice president of sustainability and welfare for 2026.

As a university student who works multiple jobs to afford my studies and lifestyle, I understand the immense pressure that the cost of living has caused. I have seen firsthand the impacts high prices and low wages have had on people, whether that be having to move back home, couch surf, or visit food banks for meals. I have witnessed the impact this cost of living has had on the environment. People having to opt for the cheaper, less environmentally friendly options at shops resulting in a high carbon footprint and more damage to our environment.

Everyone has the right to access cheap and nutritious meals, and everyone has the right to live and learn in a clean and safe environment. Which is why, if elected, I aim to continue advancing students' access to cheap food products and promote sustainable disposal of rubbish and scraps.

The $5 student saver meals should be expanded across all Guild outlets, with other cheaper food items also available. I plan to expand the Guild Pantry to include more nutritious and shelf stable food items and advocate for the availability of free fruit at Guild outlets.

I aim to improve the composting and rubbish disposal on campus, providing students with more options to sustainably dispose of their leftovers and packaging.
